Inspired by the Impressionism art movement, these works capture fleeting moments with quick yet peaceful brushstrokes. Following in the footsteps of great artists like Claude Monet and Maurice de Vlaminck, Sandhya began her art career with imitations of their most renowned works. Since then, she has expressed her passion for nature's beauty through her depictions of the everlasting motion of water and it's interaction with people; a small boat floating on still water, a ship gliding through energetic waves, a small vessel in a vast water body. She also deeply enjoys delving into ethnic subjects and still life as they have become windows to her inner vision.
